Treatment Procedure
After a consultation, your practitioner will recommend a treatment plan based on your interests and desired outcome. A tiny amount of the neuromodulator will be injected very precisely into the treatment area. The injection is very quick, and any pain associated with the injection is minimal. In fact, most people find the treatment to be very tolerable.
The process takes only a few minutes, and the effects will begin to show within 48 hours. The full results will be achieved within 14 days.
Post-Treatment Care
Typically, there is no pain or downtime following the treatment. We advise that our patients practice “exercising” the treated area for the first hour following the treatment. This is done by simply making the faces that cause the lines. Patients can do this a couple times throughout the first hour.
Additionally, we recommend that patients keep their head upright for 3 hours following the treatment. Be sure to avoid alcohol, Advil, Aspirin, and physical activity for the first 24 hours after injection. Do not rub the area for the first 24 hours.
