What is Treatment?
Fotona offers a laser acne treatment that provides a comprehensive solution to patients with acne. Fotona’s precisely controlled Nd:YAG laser light safely penetrates into skin. Fotona effectively targets overactive sebaceous glands and reduces the risk of developing new acne inflammation. There should be a noticeable difference once any redness from treatment subsides. The patients skin will look less irritated and have a more even tone. Over the next four weeks, patients will notice less acne appearing, decreased oil production and less congestion.
Treatment Procedure
The Fotona Active Acne laser uses light that effectively and safely penetrates deep into the skin. This will stop the development of acne inflammation by selectively heating and destroying overactive sebaceous glands, while gently resurfacing the top layer of skin to reveal new healthy skin.
Post-Treatment Care
There is no downtime associated with the Fotona Active Acne Laser! On active acne spots patients may feel some warmth or experience redness for a few hours post treatment. The skin may feel dry or tight, apply moisturizer to help with any discomfort! We recommend following a skin care routine using one of our medical grade skincare lines for best results. Avoiding touching the skin as much as possible and staying hydrated can help the skin heal much quicker.
