Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition characterized by excessive sweating that is not necessarily related to heat or exercise. It can affect any part of the body, but is most commonly found in the hands, feet, underarms, and face. Hyperhidrosis can be an embarrassing and debilitating condition, affecting a person's quality of life and self-confidence.

While sweating is a natural process that helps to regulate body temperature, individuals with hyperhidrosis produce more sweat than is necessary, which can lead to uncomfortable and embarrassing situations. There are several treatment options available for hyperhidrosis, including topical antiperspirants, oral medications, and Botox injections. In severe cases, surgical interventions such as nerve-blocking procedures or sweat gland removal may be recommended. It is important to consult with a medical professional to determine the underlying cause of hyperhidrosis and to develop a personalized treatment plan that is tailored to individual needs and symptoms.

        What is ?

Hyperhidrosis can be treated with Botox injections. A Botox injection blocks the signals between the nerves and sweat glands, essentially “turning off” sweating, leaving you more comfortable and dry.

        What areas can treat?

        • Underarms
        • Palms of Hands
        • Soles of the Feet
        • Scalp
        • Forehead
        • Groin

        Treatment Procedure

After a consultation with a practitioner, an anesthetic cream will be applied to the area of concern and left on the skin for about 20-30 minutes. The anesthetic cream is then removed and the area is then cleansed with alcohol. Treatment of the hands and feet tend to be more sensitive and may require ice, oral sedation, or nerve blocks to make the treatment more comfortable.

Through a tiny needle, a small amount of Botox® is injected under the skin's surface. Each injection is spaced about 1-2 cm apart and will cover the entire area affected by the excessive sweating. After injections, it will take up to 2 weeks for the maximum results to be achieved.

        Post-Treatment Care

Following the Hyperhidrosis treatment, patients can return to normal daily activities. With that said, we advise patients to avoid touching the areas and to keep it clean and dry for the first 24 hours. To ensure the best results, we also encourage patients to avoid any activities that will cause sweating for at least 48 hours after treatment.
