What is ?
The Jessner Peel is a medium depth peel that deconstructs the top most layer of skin which triggers an inflammatory response. This response causes the skin to heal itself, which leads to the removal of sun spots and the improvement of hyperpigmentation, scarring, wrinkles and elasticity.
Treatment Procedure
One of our popular peels, our medical esthetician will thoroughly cleanse the skin then apply two to three layers of the peel. The skin will begin peeling between 48-72 hours post treatment and will continue to peel for up to seven days. It is self regulating so there is no worry of over peeling.
Post-Treatment Care
Some patients may experience redness, tightness and peeling for up to five days post treatment, however this is normal and indicative that the peel is working! Patients can return to your daily activities right away, but avoid strenuous activity or sweating for 24 hours post treatment. Avoid applying water or oil based products for 24 hours as this can neutralize the action of the peel. Around 72 hours post treatment patients experience tightening and peeling, this is when patients should begin to apply hydration promoting products
